Jeannette (Lovas) Julis, 62, of Raleigh, died Thursday at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. She was a corporate travel agent and a well loved teacher. Jeannette was a beloved wife and mother who loved her family and friends tremendously and also loved cats, especially Cody and Max. She was a smart woman who enjoyed reading and learning new things. She enjoyed playing board games and card games. Surviving are her husband, Ralph Mark Julis; son, Mark Julis of Lake Mary, FL; sister, Joan Staryak (George) of Raleigh; nine nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Thomas and Gregory Lovas. A funeral service will be held 1:00 pm Wednesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh, NC 27604. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6-8 pm Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 8300 Health Park, Suite 10, Raleigh, NC 27615 or to National Kidney Foundation, 620 Montana Drive, Charlotte, NC 28216, or to Wake County SPCA, 200 Petfinder Lane, Raleigh, NC 27603.
