Jeannette Maire Allgayer

Jeannette M. Allgayer, 94 years old of Raleigh, passed away on Easter, April 8, 2012. She was born May 1, 1917 to parents Ferdinand and Marie-Louise Maire in France. She came to the United States in 1948 and was married to Charles George Allgayer. She loved her family and cherished her role as a homemaker until moving in with her daughter in 1996. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Charles Allgayer, as well as her parents. Jeannette is survived by her son, Roland Allgayer and wife Mary of Moreno Valley, California, and her daughter, Anita Martin and husband Ken of Raleigh, North Carolina. She was also the proud grandmother of five grandchildren, Steven Allgayer and wife Brandy of California, Michael Allgayer of California, Anna Hagner and husband Kyle of Lynchburg, Virginia, Emily and Molly Martin of Raleigh; she also had three great grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 11th at Mount Vernon Baptist Church at 7600 Falls of Neuse Road in Raleigh. The funeral will follow at 2:00 pm at Mount Vernon Baptist Church. Burial Mt.Vernon Church Cemetery.The family wishes to express our appreciation to the many friends and family for their visits, prayers, phone calls, and support during Moms illness and death. We praise the Lord for His goodness and mercy during her last days. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to the missions ministry at Mount Vernon Baptist Church.
