Jeremie Earp

April 16, 1982 — July 1, 2018

Raleigh - Jeremie Dale Earp, 36, died Sunday, July 1, 2018 while saving the life of a child. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 3:30 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Jeremie was a devoted and loving Son. At 19 years of age his father had a life changing brain injury and he moved back home to offer his love and support on a daily basis. He did this without being asked. Like other trials that came in his life, good or bad he always tried to accept the challenge. His cousin Robbie has been involved in Special Olympics since he was a young child. Jeremie chose to assist Johnston County Special Olympics with their program by volunteering for his Aunt Carolyn. He was an announcer for basketball games, unified bocce partner for Robbie and a great supporter for all the athletes until the day he passed. Jeremie was an avid sportsman. He starting playing football at the age of 6 and continued until he had a severe knee injury in high school. His Dad passed onto him his love of fishing, motorcycles, billards and pranking. They created memories from Snowshoe and the Carolina beaches. However he was not a Tarheel fan like his Dad but a member of the Wolfpack which created a house divided. Jeremie never met a stranger and tried to help anyone in need. He had a unique friendship with animals and people. As a bartender, this gift would benefit his customers as a listening ear. With animals it was his gentle manners and easy going approach. With his friends it was his unconditional support and pranking. He would always try to catch you at the least expected moment to play a prank. Unfortunately for Jayda, Elijah and Shannon they were not excluded from his pranks. Luckily, he also provided them favorite meals, extra money when available, free entertainment and unconditional love. Jeremie had many adventures in his life. Along for the ride were his Family and Friends. Never knowing about tomorrow, he like his Father lived for today. Jeremies last gift was to a young boy. He gave him another day with his loved ones and the opportunity of a tomorrow. Jeremie is survived by his parents, Randy and Vickie Earp; daughter, Victoria Freeman; sister, Shannon Peele; niece and nephew, Jayda and Elijah; grandparents, Grover and Sarah Jones; aunts and uncles, David Earp, Carolyn David Stafford, Fred Karen Sykes, Dewayne Susan Sykes, Brandon Brenda Earp; cousins, Robbie Stafford, April Fahey, Fred Sykes, Brienne Sykes, Park Sykes, Ava McLaughlin, Amanda Earp, Aiden Earp and Michael Earp, Sammy, Randy, Nicholas and Emma Earp.
