Jerome Russell

FUQUAY-VARINA – Jerome Russell, 83, of Fuquay-Varina passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, February 24th.

He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Margaret Ashworth Russell and James Monroe Russell; his wife, Elnora King Russell; brothers, James Richard Russell, Rufus Earl Russell (Judy), Jasper Lee Russell, and Charles Leon Russell (Sharon); son, Andrew Baber; and daughter, Sandra Baber.

Surviving are daughters, Cynthia Russell Rogers (Keith) and Dorothy S. Russell (Tom); son, Michael (Bo) L. Russell; granddaughter, Margaret Taylor Burress (Michael); great-granddaughter, Kassadie J. Burress, and Kayzlie A. Burress; daughter-in-law, Joan Baber; sisters -in-law, Vicky Russell and Edna Russell; brother, Joseph Glenn Russell (Mary); and numerous nieces and nephews.

Jerome retired from Fitton and Pittman after decades of supervision in the telephone cable installment field. He continued work operating and delivery with a heavy loading truck and only stopped work in October of 2023.

Jerome devoted his life and his heart to his children and his family and would go above and beyond to help a family member or friend in need. There were no limits to his generosity.

Services will be at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel in Angier, NC, with Pastor Matthew King officiating.

Visitation will be on Friday, March 1st from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Services will be held on Saturday, March 2nd at 1:00 pm in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will be held following the service at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina.
