Jerry Benton Adams

Jerry Benton Adams 74, departed this earth for his Heavenly home on December 13, 2015. He was born on November 21, 1941 in Johnston County, the son of John and Alice Adams. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents and sister Gertie Burgess. Jerry owned and operated Adams Carpet Care for 30 years. He was active in the Masonic Lodge and Past Master of Hiram #40 Lodge. He was a veteran of the US Army. A Celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, December 16 at 2:00 pm at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2100 Noble Road, Raleigh. Pastor Steve Tillis will be officiating. Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park with Masonic Rites. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 15 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Rd., Raleigh. Survivors include his wife of 50 years Betty Wall Adams; daughter Kimberly Denning and husband Steve; grandchildren, Blake and Morgan Denning; brother JR Adams and wife Gayle; several nieces and nephews. Flowers are welcome or memorial donations can be sent to Masonic Home for Children in Oxford, 600 College Street, Oxford NC 27565 or Emmanuel Baptist Church.
