Jerry F. Hargis

RALEIGH – Jerry F. Hargis, 71, passed away Thursday.  Born in Harnett County, he was son to the late William and Inez Pace.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jewell T. Hargis. A wonderful friend to many, Jerry was a proud veteran of the United States Army and a faithful member of Capital Church in Garner. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Monday at Capital Church, 1308 US-70 Garner, NC 27529.  Entombment will follow at Harnett Devotional Gardens, 5665 Fairground Rd, Dunn, NC 28334. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 3:00-5:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Jerry is survived by daughters, Kristy Braswell and husband, Russell of Willow Spring, Latisa Eason and husband, Jeff Caudill of Benson; son, Frankie Dorman and partner, Tim Icard of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; sisters, Linda Creech and husband, Gene of Four Oaks and Shelia Brown of Raleigh; grandchildren, Shawn Eason, Whitney Eason and fiancé, Joe Zeback, Kalee Braswell and Jacob Braswell; great-grandchildren, Joseph Zeback, Jr. and Greyson Zeback.
