Jerry Keith Penny

GARNER – Jerry Keith Penny, 73, passed away on Monday, October 29, 2018 at home surrounded by his family and friends. He was born on June 19, 1945 in Garner, the son of the late Delphia Irene Penny. He spent most of his adulthood working as an electrician with CM Electric where he was well liked by the builders and inspectors. He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine Massengill Penny. He is survived by his two daughters, Wendy Ann Penny and fiancé, Michael Bottiggi; and Terry Penny Potter and husband, William “Dock” Potter, both of Willow Spring; two granddaughters, Bryce and Baylee Potter; and his precious little kitten, Miss Priss; plus we can not forget his entire “Tart’s” family. In addition, Jerry is also survived by a host of loving cousins, nieces, nephews and extended family. Jerry was a very loving and dedicated husband, father, grandfather and friend with his heart and home always opened to family and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 – 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner; and other times at the home. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, November 2, 2018 at 1st Advent Christian Church in Four Oaks. Burial will follow in the Massengill Family Cemetery, Four Oaks.
