ANGIER – Jerry Lewis Sauls, 70, passed away on Friday at Wake Medical Center in Cary. Born in Durham County, he was the son of the late Billy Mack Sauls and Mary Frances Ellis Sauls.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier on Wednesday, November 2nd at 11:00 am. Burial will follow the service at Sandy Grove Cemetery, Angier. The family will receive friends from 7:00 - 9:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier on Tuesday, November 1st.
Jerry is survived by his son, William “Kevin” Sauls (Melanie) of Angier; sisters, Barbara Blackburn (Billy) of Morrisville, Marie Sauls (Michael) of Wilson; brothers, Donald Sauls (Diane) of Clayton, Linwood Sauls (Alesia) of Waco; grandchildren, Mitchell Lassiter of Angier, Tyler Sauls (Liana) of Wake Forest, Justin Sauls (Carlee) of Wilson, Kaitlyn Sauls (Bryce Thomas) of Lillington; great-grandchildren, Layla Sauls, Lucy Sauls, Brayden Thomas; one great-granddaughter on the way, Oaklynn Thomas; sisters-in-law, Faye Scott of Scottsdale, AZ, and Shirley Huyett (John) of West Palm Beach, FL; brother-in-law, Danny Blackburn (Pat) of Hurdle Mills; and a boatload of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 40 years, Kay Blackburn Sauls; sister, Diane Markham; and brother, Douglas Sauls.
