Jerry Ray Hamilton

June 8, 1949 — December 4, 2021

Raleigh – Jerry Ray Hamilton, 72, died Saturday. A native of Wake County he was the son of the late Ollie and Lovenia Barbour Hamilton. Jerry is survived by his wife, Julia; daughters, Tracey Hamilton, Jenny Hamilton, Amanda Miss; sister, Sherlyn Dennis; brother, Gerald Hamilton, 9 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Seagroves; brothers, D.H. Hamilton, Jack Hamilton, and Sherwood Hamilton. Graveside service will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday at Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery located at 416 Greenleaf Rd in Angier, NC. The family will receive friends from 12:00-1:15 pm Tuesday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner prior to the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the SPCA of Wake County, 200 Petfinder Ln, Raleigh, NC 27603, Military Missions in Action, 411 N. Judd Pkwy. Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526, or the PineCone-Piedmont Council of Traditional Music, 2 E. South Street Raleigh, NC 27601.
