WILLOW SPRING - Jesse Earl Page, Sr., went home to be with the Lord on May 14, 2013 after a long period of illnesses. He was born in Wake County to the late Early Green and Verna Spivey Page. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Ruthleen (Rudy) Page. Also survived by his loving daughters, Sandy Gegax of Willow Spring, Debbie Matthews and husband Jimmy of Willow Spring, Jeanne Summersett and husband Robert of Fuquay-Varina, sons, Jesse Page, Jr. of Willow Spring and Robert Page and wife, Susan of Fayetteville, N. C. He was much loved by his 7 grandchildren, Tanja Blackley, Ronnie Gegax, Jr., Traci Gegax, Tammy McLean, Stacey Gibson, Troy Smith and Kyle Page, his 11 great-grandchildren; and his sisters, Hilda Pleasant, Margaret Jones and Patsy Williams. Daddy was preceded in death by his Father, Mother and one sister, Rachel Sanders, and one brother, Elton Page, 2 grandchildren, Tina and Annette Matthews (twins). Daddy was a decorated war veteran of World War II. Upon returning from war, he worked the family farm while raising his family. He was a man of few words but when he spoke, you knew it was honest and sincere. Daddy fought a brave fight to the end. Many thanks to Dr. Gregory Rose and the Staff at Rex Hospital. Much appreciation to the dedicated CNAs who cared for Daddy, especially Stephanie and Angie who grew to love him as their family. Visitation will be held at the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier, N. C. on Friday from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Funeral will be conducted at Fellowship Baptist Church in Willow Spring on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Other times family will meet at the home place, 3009 Early Green Rd., Willow Spring.
