Jessie Wayne Stephenson

Clayton- Jessie Wayne Stephenson, 59, passed away Tuesday morning July 1, 2014. Born February 25, 1955 in Johnston County, he was the only son of the late Jessie and Neva Stephenson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Pattie S. Adams.Wayne is survived by his sisters, Joyce Waters (Bobby) and Laura Stockton of Garner, Helen Coats (Harvey) of Winston -Salem and Betty Ward of Louisburg; as well as six nieces, four nephews and several cousins and many, many friends who cared for him and loved him. He was a carpenter by trade and a very hard worker and loved everyone. He would take the shirt off his back for you if he thought you needed it. He loved the outdoors and always had a passion for fishing. He will surely be missed by all who knew and loved him. The family would like to express their extreme gratitude to the staff of Wake Medical Center for their loving care provided to Wayne. Now he has an eternal home where he will reside forever. There will be no service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice.
