Jewel C. White

Fuquay-Varina – Jewel C. White, 87, passed away Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Transitions LifeCare in Raleigh. Jewel was born in Shelby, NC to the late Curtis and Bessie Chapman. She retired from the NC General Assembly in 1988. She was a member of Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church and a charter member of St. Andrews Methodist Church. A memorial service will be held 11:00 am Friday, July 20th at Fuquay-Varina United Methodist Church with visitation following the service. In addition to her parents, Jewel was preceded in death by her husband, M. Eugene “Gene” White. Survivors include her daughter, Snow Watson (David) of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Parker Watson (Laura) of Raleigh and Palmer Watson of Greenville; great-grandchild, Luke Watson.
