Jewell Keene Thornton

Jewell Keene Thornton died November 30, 2015 at Transitions LifeCare Hospice surrounded by her loving family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Norwood Gordon Thornton in 2014 and several of her siblings. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, December 3, 2015 at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road; the family will receive friends following the service. She is survived by her son, Jerry Thornton and wife Martha of Knightdale; sisters, Faye Betts, Garner; Helen Parker, Roxboro; Thelma Johnson, Newton Grove; grandson, Candler Thornton and wife Megan;  granddaughter, Hayley Thornton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Memorial contributions may be made to Transitions LifeCare, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
