GARNER- Jim H. Helms, 78, died Thursday.Jim is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Charlotte. He was a loving and devoted husband.He is also survived by five children - daughter, Sabra Futrell and her husband, Brent of Dumas, Texas,son,Jim Helms and wife Debbie of Rockwall, Texas, daughter, Cheryle Bennett and husband, Greg of Independence, Kansas, daughter, Kelley Carroll and husband, Rusty of Apex, North Carolina, and son, Loy Helms of Bunn, North Carolina; 14 grandchildren, Stefani Cook, Lisa Long, Nathan Futrell, Tim Futrell, Rachel Helms, Natasha Helms, Clinton Dale Helms, Brennan Helms, Evan Helms, CallieKennedy, Abbie Carroll, Travis Carroll, Sydney Helms, and Adam Helms as well as 14 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.In addition, he is survived by two sisters, Cathy Brown of Clayton and Geraldine Taylor of California, and two brothers, Paul Starks of Garner and Kenneth Starks of Oklahoma.Jim loved raising alltypes of animals - miniature horses, donkeys, chickens, goats, dogs, a wooley monkey and a lion cub - just to name a few.He also enjoyed working in hiswoodshop and creating gifts for family and friends.Jimwill always be remembered for his unique sense of humorand love for his family and church.Funeral services will be 11:00 am on Monday at Berean Bible Church, 9185 Hwy. 50, Angier, NC 27501. Burial will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens, Clayton.Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner.Memorial contributions may be made to Berean Bible Church, P. O.
