Jimmy Lentz Rogers

ANGIER - Jimmy Lentz Rogers, 83, passed away unexpectedly on November 7, 2023. A native of Johnston County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late Milton Rogers and Mamie Ruth Rogers. Jimmy was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, and great grandfather.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary E. Rogers, whom he loved dearly. Brothers; Bobby Rogers and Billy Rogers, sister, Ann Hill; and grandson Kameron Rogers.

Jimmy is survived by his loving daughters, Wendy Holland (Trevor) of Angier; Debby Wall (Ronnie) of Wendell; sons, Scotty Rogers (Sherri) of Clayton; Gary Byrd of Apex, sisters, Wilba Jean Lee of Raleigh, Nell Barbour (Jerry) of Clayton, Sue Dennis (Bob) of Garner, and Priscilla Barteck (Henry); grandchildren, Travis Holland, Ashley Holland, Jeremy Wall, Nick Wall, Eric Rogers and Niki Rogers; eight great grandchildren; and special friend Marilyn Boylan.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, North Carolina 27529. Burial will follow at Bethel Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 2458 Johnston County Road, Angier, North Carolina 27501. The family will receive friends for a period of visitation from 9:00 AM - 9:45 AM, on Saturday, November 11, 2023, an hour prior to the service.
