b. April 11, 1932

Willow Spring - Joan Morris passed away Sunday. She was injured in an auto accident four years ago on Jackson-King Road in Willow Spring, from which she never recovered. She has been confined to Nursing Homes for the past three years. She was currently in Silver Springs Health & Rehabilitation nursing facility in Wilmington, NC. She was born April 11, 1932 in North Charleston, SC. She attended North Charleston High School, and Murray Vocational School, in Charleston, SC, while living on North Rhett Avenue. She and her family relocated in 1965 to Cary, NC. She was owner and operator of Greenlevel Kennels in Apex, NC for twenty years, and attended St. Paul Episcopal Church in Cary, NC, when it was under the leadership of Father Hocking. She was involved in the Cary Newcomers Club, and The German Shepherd Dog Club of Greater Raleigh for many years. She is survived by her husband, Bill (Slim) Morris, of Leland, NC, two daughters, Kathy Hall, and her husband John of Leland, and Jane Procacci, and her husband Adelmo of Garner. Six grandchildren, Lauren Dack, and her husband Joshua of Alpharetta, GA. Jennifer McCutchen of Kalamazoo, MI. Derek Hall of Leland, NC and Haley Hall of Wilmington, NC, Michael Johnson and his wife Caroline, of Raleigh, and Matthew Johnson of Greenville, NC. Also a brother, Wayne Gregorie resides near Moncks Comer, SC. She was predeceased by her daughter, Pamela McCutchen in 1984. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday May 8, at 2 PM at White Memorial Presbyterian Church, Willow Spring, NC. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. ln lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to White Memorial Presbyterian Church 1459 White Memorial Church Rd Willow Spring, NC 27592.
