Joan Holder Montague

Joan Holder Montague, 85, passed away Monday after a brief battle with cancer. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Carver Eugene and Flonnie Wall Holder. She was a lifelong member of the Ebenezer United Methodist Church as well as a member of their Outreach Group for over 15 years. Mrs. Montague worked for over 20 years as a secretary for NC state government. Memorial services will be at 6:00 pm Friday September 21, 2018 Ebenezer United Methodist Church. A visitation will immediately follow in the sanctuary. She is survived by her son, Randy Montague and wife, Diane of Garner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Montague and her sister, Martha Driver. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Ebenezer UMC, 6020 Rock Quarry Rd., Raleigh, NC 27610.
