Joan S. Wilson

GARNER– Joan Stephenson Wilson, 79, passed away on Wednesday. A native of Harnett County, Joan was the daughter of the late Vernon and Sarah Wall Stephenson. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 25th at 3:00 pm in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00-3:00 pm, prior to the service. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, James D. Wilson; daughter, Denise Calloway and husband, Kevin of Nashville; son, James Mark Wilson of Garner; daughter-in-law, Ally Eichhorst of Fuquay-Varina; sisters, Shirley Ferrell (Stan) of Raleigh and Sue King of Louisburg; grandchildren, Carter, Kendall, Corbin, Cannon and Karlyle Wilson, all of Fuquay-Varina and Brittany Calloway of Nashville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her son, Brent Alan Wilson; sister, Joyce Barbour and grandson, Nathan Calloway.
