Joann Brantley Hartsfield

JoAnn Brantley Hartsfield, 80, of Apex, passed away in the early morning hours of Monday, February 19, 2024 at UNC Rex Hospital.

JoAnn was born on April 25, 1943 to William Clyde and Vera Ruth Brantley.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, William Ronald “Ronnie” Hartsfield Sr. and daughter, Ronda Suzanne Hartsfield.

JoAnn is survived by her son, William Ronald Hartsfield Jr. and wife, Janet Faircloth Hartsfield of Raleigh; grandchildren, Amanda Stewart and husband, Donnie, Sarah Parrish, Cody Parrish, Brandon Ennis and William Ronald Hartsfield III all of Raleigh; great-grandchildren, Angel Shelton, Skyler Shelton, Christopher Shelton and Shane Shelton; sisters, Mary Smith of Raleigh and Peggy Carwell of Rocky Mount.

A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 21 at 12:15 pm at Historic Oakwood Cemetery, Raleigh. Visitation will be held from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh.
