Joann B. Williams

Joann Benton Williams, 82, passed away unexpectedly on April 24, 2025. She was born in Wilmington, North Carolina, on December 12, 1942, and was the daughter of the late Kendall Hart Benton and Evelyn Weiss Benton.

In addition to her parents, Joann is preceded in death by her sister, Lynda Benton Matthews, and by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and additional family members, all of whom she loved very dearly.

Joann is survived by her loving husband, Harold A. Williams, Jr; daughter, Michelle W. Currin and husband, J. Bobby Currin II; step grandchildren, Jason C. Currin and fiancée Gris, Steven D. Currin and wife, Jan Currin, and P. Scott Currin and wife, Samantha Currin; great grandchildren, Ella Ann Currin, and Mattie Lynn Currin; and special cousin, Gail W. Thomas; she is also survived by many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, 2025, from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 1200 Benson Road, Garner, NC 27529.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Joann's memory to a charity of your choice.
