Chocowinity, NC– Joe Victor Mangum, 86, passed away on Tuesday. He was a resident of Cocowinity, NC for over 45 years before returning to Harnett County. Born in Harnett County, he was the son of the late Victor Mangum and Ann Blackmon Mangum.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, May 31st at Neill’s Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, Angier.
Joe is survived by his son, Joey Mangum of Raleigh; a sister, Gayle Adams and husband, Steve of Angier; brothers, Doug Mangum of Angier and Tony Mangum and wife, Edna of Coats, nieces, Lisa Peterson and husband, Curtis and Renee Mandris and husband, Dr. Louis Mandris; nephews, Anthony Mangum and wife, Carrie, Eric Mangum and wife, Robin, Chris Mangum, Derek Mangum and wife, Sommer, Todd Adams and wife, Whitney, Ryan Adams and wife, Jessica; as well as numerous great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by his brother, Bobby Mangum.
