He enjoyed flying model airplanes, racing go carts, model trains, motorcycles and riding his tractor. He enjoyed tinkering and refurbishing anything with a motor or wheels. Though his body aged and weakened he was still 20 in his mind and ready for an adventure. Joel loved the children in his neighborhood. He enjoyed teaching them life skills, sharing his lifetime of knowledge, and having neighborhood weenie roasts. He loved spending time with his special friends Jerry Cotton, Zachary Ellis, and Randy Galarza Hernandez. As per Joel’s wishes a private memorial will held at a later date.
