John Arthur Williams

ANGIER– John Arthur Williams, 60, passed away on Thursday at Duke University Hospital in Durham. John was born in Orleans, County, New York. He is survived by his mother, Joan Wilkes Billings of Albion, NY; daughters, Patty Bennett and husband, J.V. of Willow Spring, Billie Jo Hanshaw of Hickory, and Rhonda Williams of Wilson; sons, Johnny Williams and wife, Yvonne of Willow Spring, Michael Hanshaw and wife, Angel of Maysel, WV; sisters, Mary Williams and Sherry Nichols both of Albion, NY; brother, Gibby Williams of Albion, NY; grandchildren, Jesse Bennett, Racquel Bennett, Jacky Williams, Johnny Williams, Jacob Williams, Tara Williams, Alissa Brown, Dalton Castleberry, Michelle Hanshaw, Felicia Hanshaw, Victoria Hanshaw, Alexis Williams, Leland Williams, and Drake Williams; 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his wife, Myrtle Williams, father, Stephen James Williams; sister, Jackie Williams; brothers, Stephen Williams and Bobby Williams. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, December 8th at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Angier.
