John Langley Satterwhite, Jr.

John Langley Satterwhite, Jr., 73, of Garner, NC, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2022. A native of Wake County, John was born on February 3, 1949, to the late John Langley and Mary May Cathleen Holder Satterwhite. John loved his brother James, that raised his siblings after their father passed away while they were young. He learned to work hard, starting his career very early, with Pearce Brothers Roofing, alongside his brother James. More than anything, John loved his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 8, 2022, at 12PM in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel, Garner.

John is survived by his children, James Satterwhite, Linda Poole, and Betty Ingram; grandchildren, Timothy Satterwhite, Michael Waddell, Timothy Waddell, Alesha Satterwhite, John Satterwhite, Matthew Ingram, Warren Ingram, Brandi Capps; 16 great grandchildren; brothers, James Dupree and David Ray Satterwhite; sisters, Jonnie Thompson and Catherine Marie Satterwhite; as well as several niece and nephews; and his best friend/companion, Krista Winters.

In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sisters, Polly Wade, Nancy Wade, and Jean Squires.
