John “Pat” Surles

RALEIGH- John Paschal “Pat” Surles, 81, passed away Sunday. Born in Johnston County, he was the son of the late Morris Fulton Surles and Elma Ellen Surles. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Thursday at Midway Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Geraldine McLamb Surles; son, Bennie Surles and wife, Debbie of Willow Springs; sisters, Fannie Lou Beasley and husband, R.J. of Dunn and Betty Frances Cranor of Raleigh; brother, Dan Surles and wife , Brenda of Wake Forest; grandsons, Hunter and Tyler Surles of Raleigh.
