Johnny M. Waters

JAN. 20, 1948 - NOV. 11, 2011 RALEIGH - Johnny M. Waters, 63, a faithful member of Highland Baptist Church and a retired employee of the NC Dept. of Transportation, went home to be with Jesus Friday at his home while surrounded by his loving family. A native of Wake Co., he was a Viet Nam Veteran and the son of Maude Sasser Waters and the late Louis A. Waters. Funeral Services will be 2:00 pm Monday at Highland Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Montlawn Memorial Park with military honors. Surviving in addition to his mother is his wife of 38 years, Susan Eagle Waters; daughter, Michelle Waters Parsons and husband, Gene of Jefferson and a granddaughter, Annalise Hope Parsons; brothers, Jackie Waters and wife, Sandra and Don Waters and wife Sylvia, all of Garner and loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, Louis A. Pal Waters. The family will receive friends 3:00 - 5:00 PM Sunday at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Garner. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Highland Baptist Church Building Fund, 8524 Crowder Road, Raleigh, NC 27603.
