Joseph Bryant Barbour

CLAYTON- Joseph Bryant Barbour, 60, passed away Tuesday in Pittsburgh, PA. Born in Johnston County, he was the son of Catherine McCarthy Barbour and the late Max Leo Barbour. Mr. Barbour served in the US Army during the Vietnam War and was the recipient of two bronze stars. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Saturday at Horne Memorial United Methodist Church, Clayton. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 34 years, Wendy Barbour; daughter, Lauren Barbour Khavari and husband, Adam of Knightdale.; son, Justin Dalton Barbour and wife, Jennifer of Charleston, SC; sisters, Cathy Batten and husband, Franky of Raleigh and Syvonne Callahan and husband, Greg of Clayton; brothers, David Barbour, Sr. and wife, Melissa of Johnson City, TN and John Barbour of Apex; grandchildren, Dylan Joseph Barbour and Wesley Stephen Barbour; sister-in-law, Hanne Barbour.He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Max Barbour.
