Joseph Chadwick “Chad” Koon

Chad Koon, 30, died unexpectedly on Friday, January 19, 2018.  He was employed with Elliott Davis Accounting firm. Chad, was a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington where he received both a bachelors and masters degree in accounting.  He was a veteran of the US Army.  He loved to surf and traveled to Nicaragua and Costa Rica, and was an avid skateboarder, surfer and snowboarder. He sought clean and simple living and was a thoughtful gift giver. Surviving are his parents Joe and Christie Koon; sister, Abby Koon of Raleigh; brother, Ben Koon of Cincinnati, OH. A celebration of Life Service will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday at Garner United Methodist Church with a visitation beginning at 1:00 pm.
