Joseph Digirolamo

RALEIGH - Joseph DiGirolamo, 80, passed away December 22, 2018, following a period of declining health. He was born in Newark, New Jersey on April 7, 1938. He was preceded in death by his parents, Pasquale DiGirolamo and Maria Cicalise, and his brother, Ignasio DiGirolamo, also of New Jersey. Mr. DiGirolamo was a veteran of the U.S. Navy. After his Naval Service, he pursued a thirty year career as a fireman for the city of Newark, New Jersey. He is survived by his wife, Felicina DiGirolamo, three children; Pasquale DiGirolamo of Clayton, NC, Rita Halpin of West Linn, Oregon and JoAnn Lawhorne of Myrtle Beach, SC, three grandchildren; his siblings; Angelo DiGirolamo and Frank DiGirolamo of NJ, Anthony DiGirolamo of SC and Vinnie DiGirolamo of NC. A visitation will be held Friday, December 28, 2018 from 6-8 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home in Garner, NC. The memorial service will be held Saturday, December 29, 2018 at 11:00 AM at St. Mary Mother of the Church in Garner, NC.
