Joseph Gilmore Upchurch

Joseph Gilmore Upchurch, age 86, of Willow Spring, NC died Saturday, November 2, 2024 in his home surrounded by his family. He was born October 22, 1938 in Harnett County, NC to the late Marty McKitchen Upchurch and Excell Adams Upchurch.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Upchurch of the home, his daughter, Annette Hinshaw and her husband, Richard; his granddaughter, Heather West Alves and her husband, Alexander; great-granddaughter, Emery Bass; and his sister, Jean Stookey.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Shirley Upchurch Bell and Audrey Magdeline Smale; and his brother, Thomas Ray Upchurch.

His graveside memorial service will be held Monday, November 11, 2024 at 1:00 pm in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, Fuquay-Varina, NC.
