BENSON – Joseph “Joe Boy” Currin 70, passed away on Saturday at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh. Born in Wake County, he was the son of Joe and Mary “Dorcas” Currin.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 2nd at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow the service at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:30 to 2:45 pm on Wednesday, November 2nd prior to the service.
Joseph is survived by his wife, Carolyn Wood Currin; daughters, Alicia Currin Darnell (Joshua) of Louisburg, Rachael Currin of Benson; son, Kevin Currin (Kate) of Durham; grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Blake Darnell, Aiden, Rylan, and Raevyn Currin, Grayson, Lydia, and Brooks Currin; sister, Gina Johnson of Angier; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Joseph was preceded in death by his son, Lucas Daniel Currin
who he is now reunited with in heaven.
