WILLOW SPRING – Joseph “Joe” Bullock, 73, passed away at his home on Sunday. A native of Wake County, Joe was the son of the late Ed and Irene Noah Bullock. A funeral service will be held Friday, December 31st at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-1:45 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Kennebec Baptist Church Cemetery, Angier. Joe is survived by his wife of 51 years, Judy L. Bullock; daughters, Tammy Whitehead of Goldsboro, Wanda Johnson of Durham, Pam Clark (Chris) of Holly Springs, and Melanie Womack (Mark) of Fuquay-Varina; sisters, Ann Gay (Wayne) of Wilson, Sandra Gilliam (Randy) of Angier; brother, Sammie Bullock (Brenda) of Wendell; 13 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. Joe served 4 years in the US Army. After returning home he went to work with the City of Raleigh where he was a mechanic for 40 years. After retirement he enjoyed fishing and camping with his grandkids.
