Joseph Rickey “Rick” French

Joseph Rickey French, 74, of Holly Springs, NC died Saturday August 17, 2019 at Transitions Life Care Hospice Home in Raleigh, NC. Rick was born August 28, 1945 in Marietta, Georgia to the late Joseph Doyle and Emma Lou French. He was a Vietnam War veteran of the US Air Force where he served in the field of avionics. Rick was employed by Western Electric and Northern Telecom for over 28 years as an engineer and project/program manager. He loved being near the water especially fishing and boating. After retiring he turned to gardening and was quite proud of his landscaping. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Rick is survived by his wife of 48 years, Carolyn French; sons Todd French (Amanda) and Alex French; grandson, Logan French; sister, Glenda Cunard (George). A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, August 28th at 3:00 PM at Sunrise United Methodist Church, Holly Springs, NC. The family will receive friends following the service at the church.
