Josephine H. Surcy

GARNER – Josephine Heffner Surcy, 85, passed away in the morning hours of Wednesday, November 2, 2022. She was born in Johnston County on September 15, 1937, the daughter of the late Harvey and Sarah Heffner.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Dora Blanchard and Peggy Nippins; and by her brother, Harvey Gene Heffner.

She is survived by her daughter, Sylvia Surcy of Garner; her brother, Albert Heffner and wife, Helen, of Raleigh; and a host of extended family.

The family will receive friends and relatives from 7:00 – 9:00 pm on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home of Garner. A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Thursday, November 10, 2022, in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home of Garner. Burial will follow in Montlawn Memorial Park.
