Josephine Wiggins “Jo” Johnson

ANGIER – Josephine Wiggins “Jo” Johnson, 88, passed away Wednesday.  A native of Johnston County, she is the daughter of the late Delma and Ila Barbour Wiggins.  Mrs. Johnson was a beloved mother and a loyal servant to God.  She was a long-time member of Fellowship Baptist Church. Visitation will be from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, February 3rd at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 300 E. McIver St, Angier, NC. 27501. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM at Fellowship Baptist Church, 1701 Bud Lipscomb road, Willow Springs, NC 27592.  Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Josephine is survived by her children, Phillip Bowden and special friend Kay Strandell, Benny Bowden and wife Kay, Danny Bowden and wife Mandy, Gloria Bowden and husband Donald, Robert Johnson, son-in-law Terry Stevenson,  Sisters, Brookie Stephenson and husband Lynn, Judy Young; Grandchildren, Shane Bowden, Nicholas Bowden and wife Jasmine, Eric Bowden and wife Joanna, Joshua Bowden and wife Amber, Theresa Weeks, Stephanie Clifton and husband, Todd, Holly Kayye, Carrie Gross and husband, Don, Billy Bowden; and 12 Great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husbands, James P. Bowden, and Broughton L. Johnson; brother, Benton Wiggins; step daughter, Joyce Stevenson.
