Josiah Latham Hughes

Cary- Mr. Josiah “Joe” Latham Hughes, 84, of Cary, NC died Friday evening. He was born in New Bern to the late Josiah J. Hughes and Bettie Latham Hughes. Mr. Hughes was an Army veteran and a retired agent with the Federal Bureau of Investigation. He served as ordained deacon at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church, member of Ex-Agents of (FBI) and as an avid golfer, member of the Hole-In-One Club and he enjoyed playing bridge. He is survived by his wife, Mary Sue Hughes and son, R. Gregory Hughes both of Cary; sister, Phyllis Hughes Williams of New Bern. He was preceded in death by his parents and  brother, Johnnie C. Hughes. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2017 at 3:30PM at Greenwood Forest Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 2:30 - 3:20PM prior to the service.
