Joy Ray Shellabarger

Joy Ray Shellabarger, 86, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family. Joy Ray was preceded in death by her parents William and Catherine Spruill, her husband of 65 years Robert Shellabarger; son, Randy Shellabarger. Memorial service will be held Saturday Jan. 23, 2016 at 12 Noon at Garner First Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 11:00 – 12:00 prior to the service at the church. Joy Ray is survived by her sons; Scott Shellabarger and wife Debbie, Tracy Shellabarger and wife Gretchen and daughter-in-law Jeanne Shellabarger; grandchildren; Chris Shellabarger and wife Becca, Caycee Brown and husband Lucas, Brooke Little and husband Louis, Dalton, Jesse and Joel Shellabarger and Olivia and Logan Zehr; great grandchildren, Luke and Gavin Little and Nathan Shellabarger. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Transitions LifeCare 250 Hospice Cr. Raleigh, NC 27607. The family would like to give a special thanks to Dr. P. J. Singh and his staff at Rex Hematology for their care during mothers illness.
