Joyce Allen Westbrook Burchette

Joyce Allen Westbrook Burchette, age 86, of Raleigh, North Carolina, died March 30, 2025. She was born on October 19, 1938, in Johnston County to the late Graham Westbrook and Nora Allen Westbrook.

Joyce was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She worked for the Baptist State Convention of NC until her retirement. She was a life long and faithful member of Samaria Baptist Church. She enjoyed spending time serving others and her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, Jimmy Burchette. She is survived by her daughter, Karen Benson and her husband, Alan; son, Tony Burchette; granddaughter, Heather Forster and husband, Brandon; great grandchildren, Lacey, Eloise, and Jack; sister, Carolyn Williams (Ronnie); and by many nieces and nephews.

Joyce will be greatly missed by family and those whose lives were touched by her love and kindness.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 4, 2025, at 12:00 PM, at Montlawn Memorial Park, 2911 S Wilmington St, Raleigh, NC 27603.
