Joyce E. Higgins

Angier– Joyce Evans Higgins, 81, passed away on Monday at her home surrounded by her loving family. A native of Wake County, she was the daughter of the late Robert Lee and Ruby Corbett Evans. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. Burial will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery, Willow Spring. Survivors include her children, Danny Higgins and wife, Sue of Angier, Janice Robbins and husband, Randall of Raleigh, Ronnie Higgins and wife, Julie of Fuquay-Varina; grandchildren, Adam Higgins (Beth), Sheri Medlin (Dennis), Joshua Robbins (Ashley), Jesse Higgins (Meredith), Amanda Higgins; four great grandchildren; sister, Ann Kirker of Florida; brother, Gattis Evans of Alabama and special companion, Dwight Hinnant. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, George William Higgins; son, George Randall Higgins; sisters, Frances Fish, Faye Prince and Edna Evans; brothers, Robert Lee Evans, Jr. and Marshall Corbett. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00-8:00 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier.
