Joyce Langdon Jones

Joyce Langdon Jones, 84 passed away on Saturday, December 16, surrounded by her loving family as an extraordinarily beautiful sunset shone through her hospital window.  Mrs. Jones was the daughter of Newton Vilas Langdon and Lorena Holland Langdon.  She married Harold Douglas Jones on January 14, 1955.  He preceded her in death. She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Jones Summer and her husband Wes; son, Harold D. Jones, II, (Chip) and his wife Sandy; five grandchildren, Morgan Summer, Drew Summer and his wife Amanda, Jenny Summer, Baylee Jones, and Brandon Jones; her brother, Donald R. Langdon and his wife Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Jones spent her career as a bank teller at First Citizens Bank.  She was a loyal and faithful member of Temple Baptist for more than fifty years. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, December 19, at 2 PM at Temple Baptist Church.  Burial will follow at Raleigh Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends at the church from 1 until 2 PM.
