Joyce Marie Ribeiro Sykes, 76, passed away on February 3, 2020. The funeral service will be 1:00 pm on Friday, February 7, 2020 in the Bryan-Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Maplewood Cemetery, Clayton. The family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6-8 at the funeral home.. Joyce was born November 27, 1943 to the late Joseph and Olinda Tavares Ribeiro. She worked for many years with Cablevision of Raleigh and at K&W Cafeteria in Cameron Village. Joyce loved spending time with her family more than anything. She is survived by her daughters, Denise Pacheco and husband, Joel and Lisa Vega and husband, Raul; grandchildren, Kayla and husband, Robby, Frankie, Alex, Olivia, Natalie, Chloe, and Alisha; great grandchildren, Aidan, Julian, Lyla, Naomi; brothers, Kenneth and Joe Ribeiro; and a best friend, Diane Langley. In addition to her parents, Joyce is preceded in death by her son, Frank J. Brager, Jr. In addition to her parents, Joyce was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Lee Sykes.
