Juan Aranda Bugarin, 94, died Saturday at his residence. Graveside services will be held 11:00 am Wednesday at Carolina Biblical Gardens, Garner. Juan A. Bugarin married his high school sweetheart Pascula Ventinilla January 26th, 1947 shortly after his service in World War II. He was a Purple Heart recipient for his valor during his time as a guerilla warrior under the United States Army during World War II. However, he is most remembered not by his service, but his outgoing personality. He could strike up a conversation with anyone. He is survived by his wife Pascula Ventinilla Bugarin, his 3 children, Ricardo Bugarin, Arsenio Bugarin and Marcelina Bugarin, their spouses Eulalia Bugarin and Evelyn Bugarin as well as his 4 grandchildren Rhea Bugarin, Rei Bugarin, Raymund Bugarin and Krystle Bugarin. He was preceded by his daughter Aurora Bugarin Buitizon. A service of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Raleigh, NC.
