Judith Campen Stephenson

Mrs. Judith C. Stephenson passed away on August 6, 2015 surrounded by her family in her home. She was welcomed by her precious Lord and was reunited with her loving husband of 51 years, William B. Stephenson Sr. She was also preceded in death by her two sons who she loved dearly Jack and Jerry Harris, her brothers Thomas, Howard, and Robert and sisters Bette and Sonya.  Judys greatest happiness was raising her 4 children. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed cooking and preparing meals for her family and friends. She held her church and lifelong friends very close to her heart. She was born in Raleigh, N.C. to the late Howard Brookes and Ruth Elizabeth Campen. She is survived by her children: Linda Heider and husband David of Zebulon, William B. Stephenson Jr. and wife Diane of Cary, Daughter-in-law Theresa Harris of Alabama; sister, Margaret Poole and sister-in-law Linda Stephenson;10 Grandchildren, 13 Great-grandchildren, 7 great-great grandchildren.  The family will receive friends August 9, 2015 from 3-5pm. at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Rd. Raleigh. A celebration of life service will be held on August 10, 2015 at 11am. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 2100 Noble Rd.
