Judith Marie Tyree

Raleigh - Judith Marie Long Tyree passed away on Friday at Rex Hospital. She was a 1955 graduate of Tecumseh High School in Springfield, Ohio. Judy moved from Springfield to Raleigh ten years ago to be near her family. In Raleigh she pursued her love of painting. She also enjoyed travelling with her companion, Mike Coleman. Judys friends and family will miss her kindness, support, and smile. She is survived by her daughter, Annmarie Young (Scott) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Dana Scott Smiddy and Allison Elizabeth Smiddy; sister, Shirley Anne Borstner (Gene); nieces and nephews, Roberta Komro (Robert), Gina Johnson (Sean), Jeff Borstner (Jackie), and Chris Borstner (Wendy); and many great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Anna Marie Long. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, January 7, at 2 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, 831 Wake Forest Road, Raleigh. Burial will follow at Historic Oakwood Cemetery.
