WAKE FOREST – Judith “Judy” Marshall Lowery, age 76, of Wake Forest NC, passed away from ovarian cancer on February 4, 2023, at the Transitions LifeCare Hospice House, Raleigh, NC.


Judy was born in Wake County, NC on August 22, 1946, to the late Mabel Journigan Marshall and Solomon Worley Marshall, Sr. She was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Louise High, Margaret Massey, Joyce Staton; and her brother, Sol Marshall. Judy is survived by one son, Nolan Lowery (Michelle); three grandchildren, Nicholas Lowery (Elizabeth), Rachel McKeithan (Connor), and Austin Lowery (fiancée Maddie Hatfield); one great-grandson, Dallas Lowery; and many nieces and nephews.


Judy graduated from Wake Forest High School, Wake Forest, NC, in 1964, and NC State University, Raleigh, NC in 1990. She retired in 1995 after serving 31 years as an accountant with the NC Department of Human Resources.


In accordance with Judy’s wishes, cremation rites were accorded by Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Raleigh. The family is hosting a visitation for family and friends on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Judy’s home, 2609 Old NC Hwy 98, Wake Forest from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm.


In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Transitions LifeCare Hospice House, 250 Hospice Circle, Raleigh, NC 27607.
