Judith Wiggins Young

Angier- Judith Wiggins Young, 85, passed away on Monday at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born in Johnston County, she was the daughter of the late Delma R. Wiggins and Ila B. Wiggins.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM on Friday, June 14th at Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church, 1232 Hickory Grove Church Rd. Four Oaks, NC 27524. Burial will follow the service at Barbour’s Chapel Advent Christian Church Cemetery, Four Oaks. The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 pm prior to the service at the church.

Judith is survived by her daughter, Pamela Y. Massengill and husband, Danny of Angier; grandchildren, Laura B. Wood and husband, Pat of Angier and Leigh M. Lewis and husband, Justin of Wilmington; great-grandchildren, Josh Wood, Vance Wood, Willa Wood, Rowen Lewis, Mason Lewis, April Taylor and husband, John, and Jessica Miller and husband, Colby; and a sister, Brookie Stephenson of Angier.

In addition to her parents, Judith was preceded in death by her husband, Lacy Brooks Young; a sister, Josephine Johnson, and a brother, Benton Wiggins.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Camp Dixie King and Queen Fund at Hickory Grove Advent Christian Church, grovenc.church (website) or directly to Camp Dixie, P.O. Box 288 St. Pauls, NC 28384 in memory of Judith.
