Judy Ann Prusia

November 5, 1945 — September 14, 2024

Judy Ann Von Sprecken Prusia, 78, of Willow Spring, NC, passed away peacefully on Saturday at her home. Born in Anamosa, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Laverne Von Sprecken and Lucile Jansen Von Sprecken.


Judy was a loving wife and a devoted mother. She loved children and had as many as she could afford. Judy was an avid Girl Scout and also a Girl Scout leader for 18 years. She loved butterflies and also visiting her home away from home, St. Maarten. She loved traveling on cruise ships to the Caribbean, Alaska, Hawaii, and the South Pacific.


A service celebrating Judy’s life will be held at a later date.


Judy is survived by her husband of 61 years, Benjamin Ray Prusia; children, Jeffrey Edward Prusia of Apex, Gregory Floyd Prusia (Teresa) of Holly Springs, Angela Jean Prusia Safon (Danny) of Apex, Neil Benjamin Prusia of Willow Spring, Benjamin Ray Prusia, Jr. (Tracy) of Midlothian, VA, Kevin Richard Prusia (Paige) of Mount Holly, and Katrina Ann Prusia (Brian Welsh) of Raleigh; grandchildren, Erica Marie Williams (Chad) of Apex, Thomas “T.J.” Johnson Ray Safon (Michelle) of Holly Springs, Arianna Nichole Lee Safon (Kody Goss) of Apex, Ryan Jared Prusia (Jess) of Mount Holly, Benjamin Ray Prusia, III of Midlothian, VA, Cassidy Ann Prusia of Midlothian, VA, and Emily Nicole Prusia of Mount Holly; great grandchildren, Laila Williams, Rhiannon Williams, Abram Williams, and Benjamin Weikert all of Apex; sister, Jean Barchman (Rich) of Sun City West, AZ; brother, Jerry Von Sprecken of Marion, IA.


In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Lavern Arthur Prusia.
