Judy Carolyn Thomas

Judy Carolyn Tart Thomas, age 77 of Clayton, NC died Tuesday, August 22, 2023 in UNC Health Johnston, Clayton, NC. She was born the youngest of eleven on May 17, 1946 in Harnett County, NC to the late Jasper D. Tart and Eunice Bell West Lyles. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her great-grandson, Roman Bleu Denson and eight of her siblings.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth Lee Thomas of the home, her son, Ryan Thomas of Clayton; her daughter, Loretta Cathleen Thomas of Four Oaks; her grandson, Mycah Denson; her sister, Ruth Dillard and her brothers, Earl Tart and JD Tart.

Judy was known as the Colonel of the family, she was feisty but loving.

Her visitation will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023 from 5:00 to 7:00 PM in the Bryan Lee Funeral Home, Garner.

Her funeral service will be held Sunday August 27, 2023 at 3:00 PM in the Pisgah Baptist Church, 3689 NC Highway 210, Smithfield, NC. Burial will follow in the Stoney Run Cemetery.
