Karen Ann Alexander

February 23, 1950 — November 12, 2024

Karen Ann Alexander was known for her gentle disposition, beautiful artwork, delicious baking and care packages so thoroughly taped that they were nearly impossible to open. Her family, friends and acquaintances will lovingly remember her any time they take up a paint brush, see a beautiful quilt, attempt one of her cookie recipes, or experience kindness in the world.

She was the second child of Paul and Florence Page in Hammond, IN and grew up in New Lenox, IL before leaving for Eastern Illinois University to study Elementary Education. She spent a long career at the U.S. Postal Service in Joliet, IL and enjoyed her retirement in Raleigh, North Carolina where she was an active member in her church and volunteered regularly.

She is survived by her children Malcolm Alexander (Krista Padgett), Kari Striska (Jim), her former husband Cliff Alexander, grandchildren Caleb, Hannah, James, Madelyn, and Benjamin, siblings Robert Page (Aimee), Margo Marsh (Bobby), and Donna White.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents Paul and Florence (Lamprecht) Page.

Those wishing to honor her life may send memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to Dorcas Ministries, 187 High House Road, Cary, NC 27511.
