ANGIER- Kathleen Carter Dupree, 91, passed away on Saturday surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen retired from her career in sales and management in retail shoes. In her retirement years she enjoyed her family, gardening and stays at the lake. In her later years, she fought Alzheimer’s disease with courage and strength till the end. Funeral services will be held 11:00 am Tuesday, December 22nd in the Chapel of Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier. The burial will follow at Lakeside Memorial Gardens, Angier. The family will receive friends 6:00–8:00 pm Monday December 21st at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier and at other times at the home of Anfesa and Al Matthews. She is survived by her daughters, Donna Adams and husband, Warren, Anfesa Matthews and husband, Al, Debbie Pollard and husband, Philip all of Angier, Patsy McLeod and husband, Tim of Fuquay-Varina; sister, Mozelle Price of Angier; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Kathleen was preceded in death by her parents, Eldridge and Sallie Carter; sister, Elza Davis; brothers, Carson and Clemuel Carter. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of Oak Hill Assisted Living Center, all the caregivers, and hospice for the extraordinary care they have given Kathleen.
